The SkyDeck Mountain Retreat in Zimbabwe’s Eastern Highlands has opened three new villas, increasing capacity to a total of ten beds.
The additional villas have been built along the cliff edge, with views of Nyanga National Park, Mount Nyangani – Zimbabwe’s highest mountain – the Pungwe Gorge, and afro-montane forest.
The villas are built on stilted steel platforms, nestled in the forest canopy, and have glass walls to allow guests to take full advantage of the scenery. Each unit has a bathroom with stone bath tubs, his/her showers, basins, an outdoor shower, and a private wood-fired hot tub, all with forest and mountain views.
Additional planned facilities will include a central wellness centre with saunas, a swimming pool, a hot tub, and a treatment room.
Activities at the Skydeck Mountain Retreat include white-water rafting, tree canopy tours, hiking trails, mountain bike trails, guided birding walks, giant swing, tea factory tours, boat trips and village tours. – Tourism Update
