Zambezi Cruise & Safaris has introduced a new luxury vessel, The Zambezi Trader, marking a significant upgrade to river tourism in Zimbabwe. The 66-passenger ship offers multi-night safari-style cruises on Lake Kariba, departing from Msuna Island.
The ship features 29 cabins with private balconies, air conditioning, and mosquito nets. Itineraries include game drives, birdwatching, catch-and-release fishing, and cultural visits to local villages, with excursions conducted on smaller tender boats. The company describes the launch as setting “a new standard of excellence” for exploring the Zambezi River.
Bookings are now open for January 2026 onward, with prices starting at $325 per person, per night. An exclusive year-end group booking offer is valid from December 10, 2025, to January 15, 2026.
