UNWTO gives Zimbabwe a major educational boost

    UNWTO gives Zim a major educational boost
    Zimbabwe Minister of Tourism and Hospitality, Barbra Rwodzi, showing UNWTO Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili local Zimbabwean wines at the UNWTO World Forum on Gastronomy Tourism.

    The United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) has granted Zimbabwean learners 100 scholarships from IE University, the UNWTO’s online tourism academy.The scholarships were awarded through the First Lady of Zimbabwe, Dr Auxillia Mnangagwa, in recognition of her commitment to strengthening high-quality education in tourism.

    In awarding the scholarships at the Zimbabwe stand on the side lines of the recent eighth UNWTO World Forum on Gastronomy Tourism, in San Sebastián, Spain, UNWTO Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili showed appreciation of Zimbabwean food and beverages.

    Mnangagwa was also recognised for “championing gastronomy tourism” in the country and region by Pololikashvili at the forum
